Serunding


Beef serunding or beef floss is a Kelantan specialty. In the Malay language called sambal daging. 

Serunding comes from the State of Kelantan Darul Naim and is traditionally cultivated in Kampung Laut, Tumpat. Now Kampung Laut is the largest serunding making center in Malaysia.

Kampung Laut

Serunding is a made with spices and cooked to dry, something greasy (especially meat) for durable. Among the most common is the Serunding of meat, chicken, fish, prawns and anchovy (ikan bilis).

It is a typical meal of Hari Raya Puasa and Hari Raya Haji. Serunding can be eaten with nasi himpit, ketupat, lemang etc.
